Goats
Goats are a special feature of the 123 ActewAGL Queanbeyan Show. They can be found in the big white marquee to the left of the main entrance gates. Dairy Goats have been exhibited at the Show since 1998 and then in 2009 123 ActewAGL Queanbeyan Show began hosting the NSW Boer Goat State Championships. Boer Goats are the only goat breed that are specifically bred for meat and are characterised by their predominately white body, brown head with white patch and horns. Both bucks (males) and does (females) are shown at the ActewAGL Queanbeyan Show. There are six different breeds of Dairy Goat and all are competing at the Show.
Volunteers
The Goats Section is always on the lookout for volunteers to assist on during the show weekend. If you are interested and have some capacity to help out over the show weekend please email the Secretary’s Office. We would love to see you there.
